LOVE, IDAHO
Alex and I are big adventure people, so we are always looking to travel to new places and gather new experiences. Last December, Alex’s parents moved to Idaho to start a new adventure of their own and we gained a new adventure spot. We had never been to Idaho and this year we knew it was the first place we wanted to visit. We had a week full of family, hiking and national parks, all topped off with a little snow.
Whenever I get to escape to new places, my camera is always in tow. Now, I am by no means a professional photographer, but I enjoy it. There’s something about catching a moment in time and having it to look back on. I want to be able to showcase our adventures and inspire others to take their own, but I also want to be able to have proof to show our cats that we didn’t just randomly hide from them for a week. I love trying to capture subjects from different angles and in new light. And of course not everything turns out like I want it to, but I enjoy the experiment. This trip was the perfect opportunity for that. There was an endless supply of beautiful scenery and interesting subject matter. How could you not snap a photo here and there?
The thing about the northwest is that everywhere you look there is something beautiful and breathtaking; so much so that a lot of times, pictures don't do it justice. Those mountain views made it even harder to return to Missouri and keep us constantly longing for the next time we can jet off across the country to a place we've grown so fond of.
